Playing for the first time at The play Date Cafe

It's Saturday and I have only cleaned the front room which is something I guess. I am normally a neat freak but of late lets just say I am exactly the opposite. I will atleast start cleaning up my work area this afternoon, I will have to otherwise I won't have any space at all to work. I have now had my cardmaking fix so can hopefully buckle down and get the boring stuff done. Why is that Saturdays go so fast? its already 4.30 in the afternoon :(

Anyway this is the first time I am playing along at the Play Date Cafe. I have been meaning to do one of their great colour challenges for some time but haven't got around to it until now. When I saw these colours the first thing I thought off was to do an earthy card, the colour combo was just perfect for this type of card. The background paper is beige which may be a bit difficult to see in this photo. I loved thie little chipboard tree that I used on this card, I thought heart shape branches really brought out the theme that I am trying to convey being a love of nature.  Anyway hopefully this card will persuade you to go for a walk and just generally enjoy the outdoors, something I haven't done too much of lately.

Does the little bird in the card remind anyone of Mr Bean? for some reason to me he does, I have got a quirky imagination though.

Hope all of you are making the most of your weekend and just incase you are interested I am having a giveaway at the moment, all the details are here, the winner will have a variety of crafty goodies to play with.
