When I first saw this sketch I really found it a difficult sketch to work with but that's what a challenge is all about. I have had these Roger La Borde embellishments for a long time now and I knew one day I would get to use them. I absolutely love the long, artistic and whimsical looking figures.

For this card I embossed the heart with my cuttlebug and for the swirly design at the bottom I used the same paper which I also embossed, I wanted the the swirl to be in the background and that is why I used the same paper to do this and embossed it to add texture.

The challenges I have included-
2 SKETCHES 4 U, LAURA'S #39 SKETCH
EMBOSSING, LOTS TO DO

Hi everyone this is just a quick post to let everyone know there is a great new challenge over at
KABOODLE DOODLES . The challenge is to use buttons, bling and bows. Check out kaboodle for further details.

I had been wanting to use my chipboard chandelier for quite sometime and I am very happy I got to use it on this card. I wanted the card to have an elegant and classic look and so didn't add too much to the card.

The other challenges I have inlcuded-

DESIGN DOLLIES-Black and Turquoise

Another thing I want to include is a huge apology in this post. I have got blog awards from two lovely ladies that I greatly appreciate. I had every intention of posting about this on my blog tonight but my dad is currently in hospital and I only got back from the hospital a short time ago and so won't have the time to do it today so will definitely try for within the next week. Looking forward to passing these two awards on.

It's that time again for a new challenge at ABC. This challenge is all about including a hidden element in your creation, there is a great prize up for grabs and plenty of inspiration over at ABC, check out the blog for further details.

For my DT card I decided to use printed cardstock for the background which is something I never do, I think I will do it more often as I like the look of it. I also did a scattered zig zag stitch over the grass area to give the look of grass, I am having so much fun with my sewing machine which I mentioned before has not been used in many years.

The other challenges I have included are-
2 SKETCHES 4 U-Kazan's #39 sketch
MY GRAFICO-stitching

It's been a few days since my last post, jeez this week has gone fast. Life has been hectic so hardly any time to blog over the last week but its great being back here and posting the card I have done this evening. I have been meaning to do a circular card for sometime so the current CAARDVARKS. challenge got me out of my comfort zone and made me create a circular card. Its great to be able to create a card of a different shape and I even got to add stitching to it. I was wondering how stitching in a circle would come out but I have to admit I am happy with the result, I am not very good at sewing so this is a major thing for me.
The other challenges I have included are-
Stitching- MY GRAFICO
Onto some other exciting news. One of my LO's got accepted for publiation in SCRAPSTREET.COM. This is my first time to be published in this mag, so looking forward to seeing my work in print. Planning to get some other cards done in the coming week, lets hope it I get them done.
Have a good week everyone :)

There is a new Fall challenge over at KABOODLE DOODLES. Come and join in the fun, there is a great prize up for grabs that has been donated by the lovely and talented IRIT

I wanted my card to have an earthy look and tried to achieve this by using hessian, twine and a textured cream cardstock.

Just another quick mention I was part of the top 5 at 2 SKETCHES 4 YOU.This is one of my favourite blogs and I am super excited to have made it into the Top 5.

Jeez the weekend goes fast, I don't why and how it has to go so quickly. This is another card I did following M's sketch.
THE SKETCH AND DETAILS OF THE CHALLENGE CAN BE FOUND IN THIS POST.

I have also followed the latest colour combo at EMBELLISH. The challenge this week is to use coral, brown and green with owls. Owls seem to be everywhere these days, who ever thought they would become so popular in the crafting world. I have tried to stick to the colours as much as possible. The three owls are coral, green and brown. I have printed the sentiment in brown and the woodgrain print in the background is also a dark brown.

Anyway its time to go so hoping everyone has a good week and thanks so much everyone for your lovely comments, they all definitely want me to create more and more.
