Just keep on creating has two very generous sponsors this time round so there will be two random winners chosen. The first sponsor is From the heart stamps who is donating $15 of digital stamps.

Faith is the owner of From the heart stamps. Her love of cardmaking and technology inspired her to venture into the world of illustrating stamps in November 2009. Each digi is created with the cardmaker in mind, and is a high-quality, high-resolution image you will use again and again. From The Heart Stamps offers a wide range of images—truly something for everyone. You can also find Faith's illustrations in red rubber exclusively from Whipper Snapper Designs, and soon in clear photopolymer from From the Heart Stamps.

It's the man of Steel: Superman!

Ever since a young child I have loved Superman. I so enjoy watching the old Christopher Reeve Superman movies. At last I have been able to do a tribute card to my favorite super hero and also I at last have a Birthday card appropriate for males although I am sure there are some women Superman fans who would appreciate this card as well.

For this card I used a free super hero blue background, the original colour was quite dark so I lightened it giving the background a more CAS look. The Superman image was purchased from Anything cards on Etsy. I printed the image so that the cape went over the edge of the card. I also printed the cape separately and paper-pieced it onto the original image so as to give the main image some movement. I really enjoyed making this card and glad I got the opportunity to share it with you.

My latest crafting craze, foiling is taking over my cards

I have recently discovered the joys of working with foil and I am absolutely loving this technique. I have always dreamed of printing in gold or metallic colours and at last I am able to do so and I can't believe how easy it is to do. I watched a few online tutorials of how to achieve foiled images with a laminator and images printed on a laser printer. If you don't already know about this technique and want to learn how to do it this tutorial by Jennifer Mcguire teaches you all that is needed to know to do gold foiling.

For this card I got the image of the stems and text printed at OfficeWorks as the image needs to be printed on a laser printer. I then transferred the foil onto the text as described in the tutorial. The flowers were punched out with my Christina Re flower punch onto which I added self-adhesive diamantes. I would definitely recommend this technique to anyone who wants to add a metallic look to their cards, I know I am addicted :)

Bad weather, a great excuse to make cards

It's a horrible day weather wise in Sydney and I think it's going to be like this all weekend, I hope not. One thing good about bad weather it means I can stay home and make cards which is my kind of fun. With this card I wanted an element of fire on it but I didn't want it to take over the card. I printed a free fire image and cut it into a curved strip which was stuck directly onto the cardstock. The image of the girl is a chipboard image that I have stamped gold and attached to the card with dimensional foam to make the image stand out. The sentiment which is the name of one of my favourite songs by Ella Fitzgerald was printed directly onto the card. I am so enjoying being taken out of my comfort zone by entering all the various challenges on offer, so much fun.

Getting inspiration from such a lovely dress

I have been wanting to play along with the latest challenge at Runway inspired challenge blog but until today I had no idea what I was going to make. I wanted the lace fabric to somehow be replicated on my card and I also wanted the pink flowers to really stand out. With this card  I firstly printed the sentiment onto the white cardstock  in navy blue. I then punched out blue and pink flowers using my Christina Re flower punch. I stuck the blue flowers directly onto the cardstock and added the pink flowers with dimensional foam to make them stand out. I then added my pretty new crystals to the centre of the pink flowers. I am so happy I atlast came up with an idea for this challenge and was able to play along.
