Something a little bit different

About five years ago a good friend of mine gave me a card that folded out into a scene, I absolutely loved it and still have it. I have always wanted to create something like that card but don't have the skills to do so, maybe one day I will be able to. This is my version of that card, I am going to be giving this to a good friend of mine who is going through a rough patch at the moment. She spends a lot of her time at work so thought she could put this on her desk to add a little  happiness to her day.

For this project I stuck two pieces of wood together to form the base. These pieces of wood were actually the cover an album which I will probably never use. I covered the base with paper and put a ribbon all around it to neaten it and add some extra texture. The back is a  piece of chipboard that I decorated with patterned paper to form the background scene, I stuck the chipboard to the base. I am happy with the way this project turned out and will have a go at making a few more.
