Nothing like an African Sunset

Ever since a child I had wanted to visit Africa, I have always been fascinated with the animals, the culture, the music, the people and everything else this amazing continent has to offer. When I finally got to travel through South Africa, Zanzibar and Kenya it was like a dream come true. Whilst on Safari in South Africa I nearly got us all killed, as soon as I saw the first elephant in it's natural habitat I stood up in the open truck to take my photo and as soon as I did this the elephant came charging after the truck, the driver had to speed off hell for leather. I was so excited about seeing the elephant that I didn't hear the driver's warning about not standing up. Although I nearly caused a serious accident I did manage to  get a really good photo of the elephant that I will always treasure.

This card was inspired by my love of Africa. For this card I used a free image of an African sunset that I printed on my PC. The elephant is a Kaisercraft wooden embellishment from my stash that I coloured in black and stuck to the background using self adhesive dimensional foam dots. For the twine border I cut out two thin strips of cardstock onto which I adhered the twine with double sided tape, I then cut the edges of the twine with a metal ruler and craft knife to neaten up.
