So much fun trying new techniques

For someone who doesn't really stamp I sure own a whole lot of ink pads. I wanted to give stencilling a go but I wanted to work with it in a way that I wasn't stencilling a definite image, I wanted to create a random design. I have quite a few stencils but I found the stencil with the different sized circles worked best for what I wanted to do.

I stamped circles in different sizes with a variety of different stamp pads on a A5 textured sheet of paper using small stamping sponges. After letting the ink dry on the paper I printed the Happy Birthday sentiment on my PC. I outlined the circles that I wanted to make into balloons with my artliner, drew on the balloon strings and the knots on each balloon. I don't often try new techniques but I am so glad I had a go at the stencilling technique that I will definitely be using again.
