The day has come to start posting again

Hi everyone,

Ok, so I haven't been the most consistent blogger but I intend to be so from now on and hopefully I will get there, I think maybe this time round I will be successful. It's not as though I haven't been creating over the last two years, in fact I have been the busiest I have ever been making a variety of different things that I sell at various shops around Australia, this certainly keeps me very busy but I'm loving every minute of it. I have also become very involved with the Pop Up Parramatta art community over the last two years where I live in Sydney and all the lovely people who are part of this group have made me realise that we all need to do what we love and support each other in achieving what's important to us. It is absolutely awesome hanging out with like minded people who make me feel that I am not a freak and who bring out the best in me.

I have decided for my first project in forever I will share what I have been working on with my friend Geoff Sellman. I have been a fan of Geoff's work for some time now and was absolutely stoked when he agreed to work on this project with me. Geoff is a very easy going and extremely talented artist who specializes in Aboriginal art that is full of colour and symbolism of the Indigenous people of Australia. I have given Geoff a large amount of my excess paper on which he paints different designs that I cut out, stick onto flat wooden beads that I have painted black. I then file the excess paper off the bead using sandpaper and varnish five beads per necklace with quite a few coats of glossy varnish, I leave the beads to dry for a few hours and then thread  waxed cord through the beads. There is an adjustable knot on these necklaces so that people can adjust it to whatever length.
