Re-purposing is always fun

I haven't recycled or re-purposed anything for a while so thought I would have a go at making a simple gift box for my friend's birthday. When I was tidying up I came across a whole heap of boxes I have kept to re-purpose, the collection of boxes and packaging is going to keep me busy for a while. This box was originally a cardboard box that had a flap at the top, I cut off the flap and then covered the front and the back of the box with the pink sky paper.I then punched two holes at the front and the back of the box to put ribbon through which is used to close the box. I haven't covered the sides of the box, it was really pretty as is. I added the green checked paper grass, patterned paper stems and leaves. I added the fabric flowers and Happy Birthday rub on to finish off. I have only used scraps on this project and the flowers are from a card that I took apart as I wasn't very happy with the way it turned out.

I have been doing so much of cleaning and organizing over the last week, my house is nearly spotless now and hopefully will stay like this for some time to come. I have to devise a way of keeping everything neat and tidy, it has taken way too much time to get everything back in order, believe me I have much better things to do with my time. I have to face it that I can be a very messy person who has to make an effort to change.

The challenges I have included-
Moxie Fab World-The household items challenge
Make it Monday-Anything goes in the linking party
The cheerful stamp pad-Anything goes
Lollipop Crafts-Anything goes
Squigglefly-Anything goes
The craft place challenge blog-Anything goes

Hope everyone is having a great week and thanks so much for visiting :)

Wow, this looks great. I have been trying more and more to re-purpose things. I use packaging for mini albums and elements on my cards. What a great way to help save a few trees.
