Bright and happy colours are always my favourite.

I went out last night  for a  movie and dinner with a friend and although I didn't have a very late night I was really tired today at work and was determined to come home and go to sleep. It's now 3am and I still haven't had a nap so I guess tomorrow I will be sleeping in.

The colours are not very clear in this card, attempted taking the photo a few times and this is the best  my husband and I could do. I have had this idea of a little envelope with hearts exploding from the envelope for a long time. I originally wanted the sentiment to be "sending all my love to you" but I changed my mind and will use it for the next card I do with envelopes and hearts . I did this card using up rub-ons that I have had for some time. To me the border rub-on resembled stitching, I was originally going to hand stitch around the envelope to give the card a homely look  but was way too tired to put the effort in so settled for faux stitching, shortcuts are always good.

The Challenges I have included-
The Play Date Cafe-Colour challenge PDCC70.
The Paper Variety-Sew much fun.
Prairie Fairy Fridays-Inspired by a song. This card was inspired by one of my favourite songs being "Please Mr Postman" by the Marvelettes.
Tuesday Throwdown-3D.
Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog-Love is in the air.
Stamping Vacation-No Flowers.

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I am looking forward to a nice relaxing Sunday, I was going to tidy up my craft room but I think that can wait, it will be done eventually.

I was chosen as one of the "cream in the coffee" winners for this card over at The Play date cafe.

hi Susan! I SO LOVE this card! It is so charming!! Love the colors and your faux stitching - which, BTW, when I first saw it, I thought it was real machine stitching. :) Thanks for playing at The Paper Variety. p.s. I'm a new follower. :)
