Patterned paper can be used as embellishments

I have had this my little shoe box patterned paper for a while, unfortunately the shop where  I purchased the paper didn't have any co-ordinating embellishments to go with it. When looking at the paper the other day I thought if I carefully cut out the shapes I can create my own little scene for a card and that's what I did on this card and happy to say that I still have a lot of the paper left to make something else with. The background spotted paper is actually brown and white but in this picture looks black and white. I attached the little girls and bird onto the card with self adhesive dimensional foam to add some dimension to the card. I also covered the inside of the paper with the cloud patterned paper to finish off the card. I was thinking of giving this card to my best friend but she is not a cutesy type of person but I think she might appreciate it none the less. At the moment I am going through a following a sketch phase and have tried to take part in the various colour challenges out there but it's just not happening.

The challenges I have included-
Waltzing mouse sketch challenge-Sketch #16
Pile it on-Cute and charming
AIFactory Challenge -Anything goes
Charisma Cardz Challenges-Anything goes
Tuesday Taggers-It takes all sorts

Hi Suzanne, Love your card. thanks for visiting! I was with you, it took me awhile to get myself wrapped around the challenge. After I did that card, it seems like a lot of people were having the same prblem. It was a difficult trigger! I thought it only one week, so maybe I will have to try again!
