Today I spent the afternoon with one of my closest friends, Maria. She is the one friend who is as obcessed as I am about making things. We were both talking about how we would love to give up our day jobs and do something we actually enjoy. We all have our dreams and aspirations and just as long we stay positive, focused and work hard we will get there in the end. I know that craft for me is certainly therapy and its got me through the most difficult times in my life so I intend creating and learning for many years to come. I have certainly enjoyed the journey so far and will continue to do so. I just thought I would share these thoughts as I am sure there are many people out there who can relate.
The main image in this card is a picuture of a lantern I downloaded somtime ago. I used this picture as the central image and printed it on the peach cardstock . I printed the lantern again on the turquoise flocked paper , cut out the lantern and stuck it to the original image with self adhesive mounting squares to add dimension. The butterflies have been punched out using colours of the challenge. At first I just didn't know how to work with these colours, I tried some weird and wonderful ideas that just didn't work. I am happy that I persisted with the colours and came up with this card. As you can see I am going through a lantern phase and probably will be for a while.
The Challenges I have included-

I like how you made all the butterflies hovering around your lantern.
