rolling pins are not just for cooking

As soon as I saw these rolling pins in the shop I just had to get a few and they were so cheap as well. I really had no idea what I was going to do with them but knew I would be able to do something with them.
The other day when I was in my mum's kitchen I got the idea to make this little project from a little kitchen prayer she has had on the wall for many years. I truly believe inspiration is everywhere, we just have to look for it.
I stained the rolling pin with Tim Holtz distress ink and than added a gloss varnish to it to finish
it off.
I had every intention of going out today being Saturday but it just didn't happen, I had much more fun creating. The weather is definitely warming up in Sydney so will go out tomorrow and enjoy the sun, its great having weekends with no definite plans.
The challenges I have included are-
Sew,sew,sew- Whimsy Stamps-http://whimsystamps.blogspot.com/
Distressing-La la land crafts-I have included inking, tearing and sanding on this project
Apples,Creative Belli blog-http://www.bellichallenge.blogspot.com/
Spots and stripes, 2 red bananas-http://2redbananas.blogspot.com/
Anything but a card,Polka Doodles-http://polkadoodle.blogspot.com/
