Bad weather, a great excuse to make cards

It's a horrible day weather wise in Sydney and I think it's going to be like this all weekend, I hope not. One thing good about bad weather it means I can stay home and make cards which is my kind of fun. With this card I wanted an element of fire on it but I didn't want it to take over the card. I printed a free fire image and cut it into a curved strip which was stuck directly onto the cardstock. The image of the girl is a chipboard image that I have stamped gold and attached to the card with dimensional foam to make the image stand out. The sentiment which is the name of one of my favourite songs by Ella Fitzgerald was printed directly onto the card. I am so enjoying being taken out of my comfort zone by entering all the various challenges on offer, so much fun.

Glad to see I'm not the only one unhappy with the Sydney weather - it goes from one extreme to the other! That fiery background looks amazing behind the figure , especially love the curved lines. So clever! Thanks for playing along at CAS-ual Fridays!
